Hay Day Country Market Cookbook

I REALLY felt Fall today and felt like baking some cookies...so I got out one of my favorite cookbooks...HAY DAY COUNTRY MARKET COOKBOOK.
I baked their Crispy Oatmeal and Raisin cookies. They have cinnamon in them. The kitchen smelled so good and spicey.

I cheated a little and added in some dried cranberries and walnuts.

Can you see him there in the background? There is Teddy. Mommy's little helper ! Happy last weekend of August....

  1. I can almost smell there goodness. Cranberries really remind me of fall. There is a beautiful cranberry bog that I go to with my dog . The scenery is stunning and the bees around the bog make the most delicious cranberry honey. P.S. Your helper is adorable.

  2. Oh, I love that last shot with Teddy there helping you out! In my kitchen, it's Dill the cat who helps with everything. He also helps in the study when I'm typing and in the bathroom when I'm washing up and putting in my contacts. I don't know how I'd make it through the day without him!

Those cookies, my friend, look fantastic! xo

  4. These cookies sound and look so yummy! I love oatmeal cookies and the addition of walnuts, cranberries and cinnamon are such a plus.

    Teddy is getting so big!

I've been on vacation in northern California for the past two weeks and I've really enjoyed the cooler than usual summer this region has been having as NYC's summer has been so hot and humid.

  6. Those cookies look so yummy! I wish I could sink my teeth into one (or several) of them right now. And how nice to have a furry helper in the kitchen.

  7. Yes, it is definitely time to say good-bye to summer, whether I want to or not. This morning, I was listening to a song that to me was pretty much part of this summer's sound track, and a wave of melancholy swept over me. Maybe I should to something useful, like baking, to make it pass :-)
