OH wow, good for Miss Pete!! :-) You will probably find that jury duty is quite interesting. I did one several years ago, as the 13th Juror, and I'll never forget it. (Yes, the alternate, in case anything happened to any of the 12. )
Will Pete be renamed Petra then? :-) Never had to do jury duty, but I think I'd like it, even if just for the novelty and the feeling of doing my part as worthy citizen.
I actually enjoy jury duty and feel proud to be doing my duty as a citizen:) Well, Pete is a girl,eh? Isnt lifes little surprises wonderful! Best of luck to you and cant wait to hear more from you soon!
Miss you kary! Paul had jury duty earlier this year... was all geared up for it and then the trial got cancelled! Hope yours goes well. Yay Pete! Or should that be Petra?? Love to you & Teddy from Alice & Me xoxox
Jury Duty! YUCK! Living here in Baltimore city ~ where there aren't many non convicted fellons ~ Paul and I get jury duty every year. Last year I got picked for a case about a drug dealer who was selling crack to kids outside of a school ~ real nice. I was sickened when the case was dismissed because the police chemist did not show up for court. I'm guessing that the creep is still on the streets making a living at the cost of these kids lives. So sad.
I never had jury duty...partly because of my work as a forensic nurse and frequuent court testimony, then, when I was last called six months ago, they opted not to use me because of my age and multiple medical problems. They said they wouldn't call me again.
the night will never stay, the night will still go by, though with a million stars you pin it to the sky; though you bind it with the blowing wind, and buckle it with the moon, the night will slip away like sorrow or a tune.
