we had a birthday to CELEBRATE around here yesterday....the gift was a beautiful birdbath so we went with a bird themed party...
we let the little ones decorate the cake...we even picked little daisey flowers to edge the cake with...and LOTS of sprinkles....you can never have too many sprinkles !
strawberry lemonade and little candies...
we even had a PUPPET SHOW !!!
what could be better than a birthday party on the PERFECT SUMMER DAY !
Somebody is a very talented cake decorator, and boy does it look good. Especially followed up with pink lemonade. Happy happy summer day! xx donkey in the pines
Aww, was it your nieces birthday? It looked like a very "girlie" party and one that I would enjoy immensely! The strawberry lemonade looks fantastic, and is that raspberry in the cake? Yum!
Hi there, Wishing I could just come and hang out with your crowd! Loved all the details on the cake-the birds, the daisies, the sprinkles and if only I could enjoy it but alas I'm here in Colorado but can't have gluten anyway. Have a wonderful evening. Noreen
What a great party and a great theme! The cake looks like my kind of cake. Seeing it made me think of visiting cousins in SLO two years ago and buying cakes at some fabulous cake place that was, apparently, an institution there. They were delicious!..........and very pricey!
Dearest Kary...now THAT'S a party! It all looks wonderful...so colourful and delicious. That strawberry lemonade...mmmm...I'd adore some with a slice of that cake please!! Much love to you and sweet Teddy from Alice & Me xoxo

the night will never stay, the night will still go by, though with a million stars you pin it to the sky; though you bind it with the blowing wind, and buckle it with the moon, the night will slip away like sorrow or a tune.
