The Gentle Barn

I saw this on Ellen the other day...and it brought me to tears...and I wanted to share it with you. It's called The Gentle Barn and it is an animal rescue in Southern California. It is filled with animals that were neglected and abused...and they have found a home in.... The Gentle Barn.

  3. There are so many kind people out there who open their hearts to the sad reality of neglect and abuse among animals. What a wonderful place for these sad and neglected animals to finally find the love and safety they so badly need and deserve. Thank you Kary

  6. These organizations just warm my heart. There is another fabulous place located in Kanab, Utah called "Best Friends". My sister frequents them with donations, subscriptions and has left her beloved little kitty angel who passed 2 years ago in a memorial they sponsor. Anyway, here is a link if you'd like to drop in on them sometime. http://www.bestfriends.org/

    Have a great weekend!

  9. It is beyond me how some people can be cruel to animals, I feel bad if I scold Duke! Thankfully we have people like the Gentle Barn who can open there farms/barns to these animals. It's been especially difficult on animals during these difficult economic times.

Thank you for a lovely post!

  10. I saw this Ellen show, too, Kary. The Gentle Barn is really a special place. I wish people who had land and shelter would accomodate animals in this fashion.
