3 Weeks With Teddy

Look at that little face. Man, is he ever hard to get a picture of...he is moving so fast. I told Octoberfarm trying to get a picture is like trying to nail jello to the wall. See the Halloween blankie? I know you do. I opened the linen closet the other day and he jumped on that and he was off in a flash...blankie following behind like a kite.
See the tail? It is ALWAYS up and curled. So we know he is happy.

This is blurry, but still so cute.

Tail up and wagging, Halloween blankie on the couch..and if you look really close you can see his piece of cheese. White Sharp Cheddar. Dosen't seem to want to eat it. Just likes to carry it around.

Those mocassins of mommys are really fun to chew on. The house looks like a homeless camp. Blankets, pillows, rugs, flip flops, slippers, pajama bottoms all strewn around the house. And the wee-wee pads. Those are alot of fun too....just grab a corner and you're off like the wind.
So I've let it go. We are in puppyhood mode around here...so it is what it is. And somebody loves to watch the Lakers with daddy. Big game tonight. We are making BLT sandwhiches and a mozzarella caprese salad...tomato overload...Oh, yeah, and sneaking in some tater tots too. Teddy says GO Lakers !!!

  2. this is just like having a baby and having toys littered throughout the house and baby gates and dirty diapers, etc.! a good time to relax and enjoy the process. my perfectly neat dining room is now a semi pantry for holding treats and containers for making my daughter and her boyfriends lunches. what fun!!!

  3. Oh, how super cute!! He looks like he's both sweet and spunky!! Just the other day, I was sort of feeling wistful that Winslow seems to be a totally mature dog now and always so well behaved. He promptly tore up a bed sheet and let me know that he still had puppy in him. I think he was surprised when I hugged him instead of scolding him... A big cuddle to Teddy!! Love, Silke

  32. Dearest Kary, so sorry I haven't been around much....too much baking and not enough Teddy visiting! What a darling your baby is....those little black round eyes, just made for mischief! Enjoy this stage....as you know, it doesn't last forever (which can sometimes be a blessing too!!) This post took me back so much to Alice's puppyhood - just gorgeous! Love to you xoxox Alice & Me

  34. Nika and I are loving on little Teddy. Thanks for coming to visit. Its a hot, rainy night here in Virginia. Big thunder and lightening , Nika terrified so allowed up on couch to snuggle while I was reading. We both felt much braver together. We also feel happy when we're reading about the little lamb!

  35. So Teddy is a Laker's fan! I suspect he'll watch anything as long as you two are with him, spoiling him rotten! Did you see my wedding photos at:

It was a wonderful two days...I only got to see my granddogs for about half an hour, though.

  37. The cutest doggy face ever!

BLT - strange, but it does not taste the same outside the USA.
I tried, and tried again. Nope. So interesting how certain foods simply do not translate onto a different place. I once had Italian prosciutto with fresh figs in one of the hill towns near Rome: A short thunderstorm had washed away that August day's heat and the sun was out again as we settled at on outdoor table. The lightest breeze was caressing our skin, the air smelled of earth and summer rain. The figs must have fallen onto our plates right from the tree, still warm from the sun, the cool prosciutto leaves melted in the mouth, an explosion of salty and sweet. Unforgettable.
