Just found you at Cozy Little House. I am in love with the picture of your house! I love the title of your blog! I'm sorry your computer was down - I am crazy when mine acts up (even with a computer techy husband). Look forward to reading more of your posts soon.
ReplyDeletewe are so glad you are back too!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad the computer problems are over. Isn't it amazing how much we depend on our computers. Guess where Mary (OBCS)and I are going tomorrow. The King Arthur Store in Vermont. We are going to have a ball. So many neat baking ingredients to drool over. I want to buy the boiled cider and some of the citrus oils. Let you know how we did!!! Have a great weekend Kary, give Teddy a good scratch behind the ears for me!!

Welcome back Kary, glad to hear your computer has been fixed...Looking forward to seeing what has been cooking in your kitchen. Your friend from Maine, Julie.
ReplyDeleteOh so happy for your return
ReplyDeletelove those cookbooks...have most of them even the kid one
I may pass them on to my sons in law...they do most of the cooking
Oh I love your 4 leaf clover picture...says it all
I'm glad your back too!!
ReplyDeleteI really love old cookbooks! While it's gotten so easy to just look up a recipe online, there is just something about sitting and flipping through a cookbook that has flour on its pages!
welcome back Kary!
ReplyDeleteHome, home on the blog! Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I am getting a little bored with my home and it's furnishings, I simply take a few days away from it. When I return, it looks so good.I guess I just appreciate it more after being apart from it for awhile.I think that's why they say,Absence makes the heart grow fonder(even if it is from your home).
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are back! Loved all the homey pics. I think we share a love of cookbooks.
ReplyDeleteI have missed you! Glad that you are back among the blogging!
ReplyDeleteHello Kary and Teddy,
ReplyDeleteI am so miserable with both shoulders aching and my knees killing me, too. If my arthritis is this bad at 66, I can't imagine what it will be like ten years from now. I think, by then, I will have given in and had total shoulder replacements!
I am trying to follow Drs orders and not sit at the computer for hours on end. Both feet and ankles are so edematous, even though I'm on a diuretic. I am going to invest in the Dragon voice recognition program. One of my nurse practitioner friends has it and it makes computer time so much faster!
Hi Kary, I'm so happy you are back on-line! Susan and I are headed to King Arthur in VT tomorrow! I wish you could join us. I'm taking my camera, so you'll need to keep an eye out for a post on King Arthur!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the birthday wishes, I had a really nice, low key day. Just the way I like it!
I love your quilt, did you make it? Don't you just love reading your cookbooks? I know I do! Love the trivet too, it's so friendly! Got to run! Give Teddy a belly rub!
Mary

So happy you're back, too! I've become addicted to your lovely blog and missed your posts. Love old cookbooks and have hundreds. I love seeing what other cooks have on their bookshelves. Silver Palate is one I have as well. A classic and still good.
ReplyDeleteI have the Fun to Cook book that I got as a child. Found it a year or so back when I was getting rid of lots of books. Kept it, for some reason. Funny how I am.
