ReplyDeleteSnapdragons would not like our heat but that color would be hard to pass up.
Blueberry upside down cake sounds great! I've never seen snapdragons that looked like that before, very pretty. Had to chuckle at myself, I was surprised to see the pea pods on the sweet peas... wonder where I thought the seeds came from???:@)
ReplyDeleteall of the blooms are beautiful. pass the berries, please!
ReplyDeleteThe cake looks scrumptious! Beauty flowers, peach spice snapdragons are new to me, they are keepers.

Your cake looks scrumptious, and the flowers are lovely. Unusual color on the snapdragons...I love it. Yes, time to think of summer. I'm ready; you've put me totally in the mood.
ReplyDeleteOh Kari, such beautiful flowers and I love your little sweet peas. We grow them every year and I can't help but eat a few in the garden while I pick them. Thank you so much for the cake and tea. It was scrumptious.;-) Such a pleasure to spend time with you, Teddy and those beautiful kitties. Hugs my friend.

ReplyDeleteThat upside-down cake looks scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteYour summer is so far ahead of ours. We`ve not yet seen sweetpeas and roses are just coming into bloom.
I think that, if I`d seen those snapdragons, I`d have bought some too!
Oh yes, I'll clean the gardening soil out from under my nails and be right over for cake and tea....love, love, love the photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following Lap Dog Knits...who's the little cutie you asked? She's Annie, a birthday present from my husband 3 years ago and won't sit anywhere but my lap while I knit. See you tomorrow
Saw your posting too late - and I guess there is none left of that delicious blueberry pie! :-)
ReplyDeleteBlueberry upside down cake sounds divine! And all your flowers are so gorgeous. We have nothing but heat and dust here. The only flowers that can survive this climate are my sweet little moss roses. Butter bean soup... yum! And poor Teddy! Hope he got outside to play. Our Jingles is stuck inside because of the dust and is going a bit stir crazy. She enjoys balcony time most days. Have a great week. Tammy
ReplyDeletewow...that looks good! i hope i get to my blueberries before the birds do!
ReplyDeleteI've missed the cake but I must admit it certainly was a lovely temptation...
ReplyDeleteThere is a recipe in the June issue of British Country Living for a Buttermilk soup with elderflower strawberries that makes my mouth water and I think those elderberry blossoms would be just the perfect ingredient.
Have a beautiful week.

ReplyDeleteOh, I'd love to have a piece of that!! : )
ReplyDeleteOh no Kary...are Alice & I too late to the party? I can bring another cake if you like. We'd so love to join you in your so-beautiful flower filled delight of a garden! Can't wait to see Alice & Teddy playing together while we sip our tea...xoxo happy Monday
ReplyDeleteI am so tempted by your blueberry upside down cake, Kary! It looks so moist, sweet, and delicious.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers both fading and sprouting are all beautiful! You must have such a beautiful garden!
Hugs,
Pat
hi sweet friend...
ReplyDeleteso i missed blueberry cake and the garden tour????
might i ask for the recipe? it looks a m a z i n g... one of my favorite things were my grams blueberry muffins and she made the most incredible pineapple upside down cake... so here it the perfect thing to bring that memory back... your garden looks amazing and i so understand when things stop blooming... i feel the same way... seattle is so rainy that things are blooming oddly and late this spring/summer..
i am always here friend... sorry to be out of touch... xoxo
Hi Kary, thanks for stopping by and commenting on my post about using the old wooden dresser as a bar on our wrap around porch! I'm glad that you liked the idea and yes, I wish you lived closer so that you could stop by for something delicious and cool this summer. Loved your pics of that blueberry cake and raspberries, and of course, the stroll through your beautiful garden. A post that was both delicious and beautiful! Ciao, bella xxoo

ReplyDeleteWell, of course I'll come for some blueberry upside down cake! It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteOne question: where do you find the elderberry plant to purchase? I keep looking for it and no luck. And I've been craving elderberry cordials.
