Santa Chimney Cake

I wish I could take credit for this darling cake...but I can't. I got it at our local market today. I just couldn't pass it up. It is Santa on the chimney. It got kinda smashed in the box on the way home so I added the baby marshmallows to cover the smushed icing. She said it was vanilla. I got some beautiful raspberries so we will have the cake tonight with some vanilla ice cream. Tonight is FONDUE NIGHT by the fire.We feel just like Christmas mice inside Farmhouse. All warm and cozy....eating cake and raspberries. And I got my wish. It is 80 degrees no more, my friends. It is POURING rain out here in California. And we love it. Our rowboat is docked by the back kitchen door...just in case. We're getting so close to Christmas..... Farmhouse is ready, are you?

  2. Is Santa stuck in the icing? I'm sure he will have a delicious time getting out and back onto the sleigh. Send him over here and tell him to please bring some fondue and I will trade him for some cranberry chocolate oatmeal cookies and a cup of grog. with brandy!
    Yay Santa!

  7. It's snow here! at least 5 inches on the ground and Winter Storm Warnings on the TV!
It will be nice for Christmas but I hate driving in it!
Most of my doggies love it! Louie dances around in it while some of the others look at him like "you idiot!" Ha! ha!

  8. The house is decorated, shopped, wrapped, cards sent and finishing up with the baking. The most important for me is listening to Christmas music all day long. It's special.

Enjoy your cake and raspberries too!

  12. It's a wonderful cake... and yes, I think you're ready. I'm alone... well, Greg is in the back because he's ill.

I have carol's playing and candles burning. I have a few presents to wrap, but most of the food will be prepared in Arlington, where we will be with Papa. We won't have many sweets, a couple of pies and he makes fabulous breads.

I just had to come by and see what you're up to.

I thought you might having some rain. I checked Accuweather and it looked you would.

Have a merry, Christmas, Kerry, if you don't post something before then. Kiss that sweetie of yours for me.

    Love,
    Joey

  14. I like the picture on your sidebar, the one with the little angel, the tree and the cute woodland animals. It reminds me so much of a picture book I used to have as a child.

  23. In no particular order: I made fruitcake with gin-soaked raisins, figs, and chocolate; took my nephew who is in town to see the house where he spent the first four years of his life; went to the Ferry Building for bags of Blue Bottle coffee for gifts, and salami from Chris Cosentino for a small gathering tomorrow; I found a set of six Gurley choir boys and girls for under $20; I have a lame cat named Tiny Tim sleeping under my bed; I have my holiday playlists going most of the time; I received wonderful early Christmas gifts. . .

I think most every emotion the season has to offer I have experienced, so yeah, I'm ready.
