We had a birthday party here on monday night for my sister-in-law. With the help of my niece we made a pink birthday cake.
we added the birthday candles one by one. can you see that little ball of red behind the candles? that's teddy sitting on his favorite spot...on top of the couch.
Our simple farmhouse menu
a few festive touches
flowers , the guitar leaning against the wall ready for singing the birthday song and the doors open out to the apple orchard...the covered bowl in front of the picture is the dilly bread rising
our birthday cake, teddy and a tiny glass of pink lemonade for my little helper
getting started on the decorating
little helper with party streamers....we sure had a great time...
Ooo, I could eat a huge slab of that wonderful pink cake right now! Happy Birthday to your sister-in-law. I love the beautiful quilt on your wall! And the piano...do you play?
what a fun party! it looks like you are having nice weather!!! i can't wait to open my doors and windows and build a fire in the fire pit. it's been months since i could do that!
once again I want to come live with you and eat all the amazing things and be a part of all the amazing things that you do, make and host... You are so amazing! I love bbq chicken and corn on the cob!!! and CAKE!!! (ha ha ha, I was posting of fb today how my sweet tooth is out of control today). Anyways, I am glad you had a good time, looks like a great party!
Oh my what a gorgeous cake..and of course Teddy to set it off..it is wonderful to celebrate with family I have a glass to match your little one I found it recently at a thrift store! cute little glass and I love pink frosting
First of all, I'd like to mention that I would love to be neighbors with you! I love to bake and garden and the rest of it. The pink cake is adorable. Hold on to the photos because your neice will want to see them again and again for years to come. I love seeing Teddy on the back of the sofa - he is soooooooo cute! Have a great day.
The perfect simple but gorgeous menu, the perfect setting and a wonderful delicious cake to finish. What more could a birthday girl want? Especially with that little scrap of red cuteness keeping watch over proceedings!! Lovely Kary! Love to you, Rachel & Alice xoxo
That is one happy looking birthday cake! Pink icing is just the best. Being a quilter I also checked out the wonderful red and white pieced quilt on your wall...it is a beauty!
the night will never stay, the night will still go by, though with a million stars you pin it to the sky; though you bind it with the blowing wind, and buckle it with the moon, the night will slip away like sorrow or a tune.
