I'm Barefoot Today!

This is not a joke. That is really me about 10 minutes ago. You see, today I am gardening...barefoot! I know..I said I wasn't gonna mention it anymore. But today I am planting my forget-me-not and baby blue eye seeds. And it is about 75 degrees in my garden this Saturday morning. Some of my columbine flowers are starting to bloom and my nasturtiums are sprouting back up.The leaves on little cherry are starting to open up too. I am gonna say it. It is downright warm out today. For supper tonight we are pretending it's summer. Making BLT sandwhiches, corn on the cob and I am making a macaroni salad later this afternoon. If you are coming to the Valentines Party you are welcome to come early and stay for Supper on the Porch tonight. We'd love to have you.

  1. Ah, lucky girl! We're too wet and too windy most days to be puttering out in the garden. I get to wish ahead, though, with plenty of seeds collecting and compost turning. I'm inspired!

p.s. Are you able to follow my Italian Lessons? I need your feedback, please.
My son says the blog is too "lyrical" to be a good lesson. When I pressed him, he says he needs lots more repetitions.

    What do you think?

  2. I'm gritting my teeth to congratulate you on your lovely afternoon . Either that or to stop them chattering with cold . Holland remains a place for thermal-clad hearty people .... just wish that I qualified !

  3. Oh...barefoot outside would be great. I hate to wear shoes & socks and don't ever wear them inside. But in the winter it's a must outside : ) It's a high of 25 degrees here today...but sunny.
I really like forget me nots & yours are gorgeous.
I would love to come early & dine on the porch...such fun! I'll have some of that corn on the cob with butter & salt, please : )

  5. I am so extremely jealous! But forget I said that because I would never tell you that! I want to garden in the worst way! The flowers are so fragrant and pretty, and I just love them. So I will live vicariously through you and watch the cold 40 degree rainy dreary weather out my window.

  10. Green with envy - my feet are frozen!! Although we do have daffodils and primrose poking through it is still only about 40 degrees Farenheit here so no bare feet!!

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment - I have come over via your comment to see what you do and like what I see. I'll be back!

  14. I can tell you're having a fabulous time in the garden. Do you know the Artist Susan Branch? She's wonderful and you remind me of you. If you don't know who she is, check out her website. www.susanbranch.com

Enjoy your supper. Can't make the party tomorrow. Allen and I are going to see a two person play entitled "Love Letters". How exciting! :)

  19. Ha ~ You were 20 degrees warmer that we were here in zone 10 FL. It was cold here today, something we're not used to. Looking forward to seeing your flower filled garden.
