There he is...Teddy's first summer...and have we been busy around here
We have had a first day of school
ABirthday to celebrate
Family suppers together
Dance recitals...this one was Cowgirl themed...and they danced to My Blue Heaven....so cute it makes me cry.....
We have done some biscuit baking
Old fashion baking powder biscuits..tiny sized
And even got in some blueberry pickin'. Getting into late August and we're still here..it's just been so busy. Hope this finds all of you well and getting ready for Fall.
Hey there, been missing you, now I know why! Glad you're having such a fun summer filled with family and cowgirls and puppies. And of course your fabulous food.
Teddy is getting cuter by the minute, and those biscuits look mighty tempting. Maybe I'll make some later this week when the weather cools off. Looks like you're having a wonderful summer! So glad to see it. xoxo Gigi
Hi Kary, Glad to see the summer is finding you busy and active in SLO. Don't know when I'll get back down. I'm hoping I'll head to India in November for six months. So short of money but I definitely have to move and I'd like to sell much of my stuff, store the rest, and not think about renting another place till I return. It's a big step but it has to happen -can't afford this place any longer. All my savings is totally gone now!
Looks idyllic, I am so glad you have had a wonderful Summer and it's good to see Teddy has settled in so well. Watched a film last night called 'The waitress' her pies looked nearly as good as yours! XXX
did i ever tell you about my summer of biscuits? the Blog Tech and i made a trip to nashville and fell madly in love with the biscuits at the loveless cafe. i spend 4 months trying to duplicate them. i made over 2000 biscuits. everyone i knew ate biscuits constantly that summer. even their dogs got some biscuit failures. at least i also duplicated the loveless jams to give to them too. it took me every bit of those 4 months to even come close to the loveless biscuits but i finally nailed them. now we don't eat biscuits that often!
Autumn is coming quicker than we realize; soon, it will be here and then winter and the Holidays. I made biscuits for company and served them with home made jam - blueberry, raspberry and peach. It was wonderful!
Autumn can;t come soon enough for me, let me tell you. I so so love it but I have to say too, I am thankful that although hot here, it at least isn't humid.
the night will never stay, the night will still go by, though with a million stars you pin it to the sky; though you bind it with the blowing wind, and buckle it with the moon, the night will slip away like sorrow or a tune.
